The co-author of the brand "Other Shores" will take part in the opening of the inclusive exhibition "The Art of Being: Extremely Close" and will hold a fashion show as part of a parallel program in order, together with the Gulfstream Charitable Foundation, to draw attention to the problem of the perception of people with disabilities in society.
"To take part in the project, at the opening of the inclusive exhibition "The Art of being: Extremely close", is an interesting experience. Our projects are consonant and aimed at good goals, where art is the therapy and the way of expression. It is necessary to communicate and create a large community of like—minded people working in one direction," commented Ksenia Demyanenko-Novikova, designer of the Other Shores project.

The exhibition "The Art of Being: Extremely Close" is aimed at popularizing contemporary art as a resource for the development of inclusive culture in the country. Through art objects, artists talk about inclusion, about the situations that people with disabilities have to face. Visitors will be able not only to get acquainted with contemporary art, but also to receive an element of psychological rehabilitation from interaction with art objects. The main principle of the exhibition "The Art of Being: Extremely close" is following the principles of participation, that is, participation and co–participation of all people.
Residents and guests of Ivanov will see eight art objects of contemporary art selected from all over Russia at the exhibition "The Art of Being: Extremely Close" in the Ivanovo State Museum of Local History named after D. G. Burylin in the Museum and Exhibition Center.
People with mental peculiarities of development took part in the creation of the collection of the brand "Other Shores", whose drawings were adapted into the author's fabrics and subsequently utilitarian collections of clothes with meaning were created. Royalties to special artists are deducted from each product sold. In 2023, in the city of Ivanovo, the project "Other Shores" will celebrate its 10th anniversary.
The collection consists of 6 images, for dad, mom and 4 kids, these are knitted suits, hoodies and sweatshirts. Each product has a print or industrial embroidery developed on the basis of drawings of the project "Other Shores". The collection is dedicated to family, friendship, home warmth and care. Therefore, graphic symbolic prints were: birds, chicks, nests, floral images.
Ksenia Demyanenko-Novikova is a member of the Union of Designers of Russia, a member of the Union of Artists of Russia of the Ivanovo regional branch, a senior lecturer at the IVSPU at the Department of Costume Design and Textiles named after N.G. Mizonova.
The Art of Being is one of the projects of the Gulfstream Charitable Foundation. The project is implemented using the funds of the grant of the President of the Russian Federation for the implementation of projects in the field of culture, art and creative (creative) industries.
The opening of the exhibition "The Art of Being: extremely close" will take place on February 16 at the Ivanovo State Museum of Local Lore named after D.G. Burylin in the Museum and Exhibition Center.
The exhibition will be available to museum visitors from February 17 to March 26, 2023.
