Theodor Currentzis is the founder and artistic director of the musicAeterna Orchestra and Choir, Chief Conductor of the Southwest Radio Symphony Orchestra of Germany, creator and artistic director of the Utopia International Orchestra. As a conductor, he collaborates with the world's leading directors and the largest opera houses in Europe and Russia.

"Last year, after a long break, the maestro gave Krasnoyarsk two unforgettable concerts. The audience responded with full halls and admiring responses. In February, we are looking forward to the Philharmonic's new orchestra program, in which Theodore will perform the music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky in his own interpretation. And the day before, he will present the full power of Richard Wagner's symphonic thinking, reflected in his opera overtures," said Evgeny Stodushny, General Director of the Krasnoyarsk Philharmonic.

On February 25, soloists of the Orchestra musicAeterna will perform String Quartets No. 7, No. 10 and No. 13 by Dmitry Shostakovich in the Organ Hall of the Krasnoyarsk Philharmonic. Since the time of the Vienna classics, quartets have been considered something like reduced symphonies, to look for and find in them the features of orchestral writing, a great dramatic form. Shostakovich has all this, as Rodion Shchedrin wrote with reverence: "In Shostakovich's string quartet we will find, it seems, everything that makes up the wealth of his symphonies."

On February 26, the maestro will present Richard Wagner's overtures. The Overture to the opera "Parsifal", the Overture to the opera "Tannhauser", "The Introduction and Death of Isolde" from the opera "Tristan and Isolde", the Overture to the opera "Lohengrin", the Overture to the opera "Nuremberg Meistersingers" will be performed in the Great Hall of the Philharmonic.

On February 27, a new symphonic program of the musicAeterna orchestra dedicated to the image of Italy by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky will be performed. Under the baton of Theodor Currentzis, the orchestra will perform a symphonic fantasy based on Dante "Francesca da Rimini", an Italian capriccio on folk songs for orchestra and an overture-fantasy based on Shakespeare "Romeo and Juliet".
